- Ellipse 1.2
- Released July 6, 2010
- Requires SketchUp 6 or newer
- Windows or Mac OSX operating system
This SketchUp plugin draws an ellipse based on parameter values that you enter in a dialog box. It is certainly not a much needed plugin for SketchUp since you can easily make an ellipse by drawing a circle and scaling it.
However, there is also an option to mark the location of the two ellipse focus points. That might be useful since SketchUp does not provide this feature.
This plugin is accessed from the Draw menu (). This will open a dialog box to enter the ellipse parameter values.
The higher the edge count, the smoother the curve.
When you click OK, the ellipse is created as a component, and the component placement tool is activated to position the ellipse in the model.
The dialog box remembers the values between SketchUp sessions.
